Reinhard Steurer

Reinhard Steurer holds a Doctoral and Master’s degree in political science from the University of Salzburg/Austria, and a Master’s in Public Policy from the University of Maryland/USA. His studies focused on environmental and economic policies. His current research and teaching is concerned with sustainable development policies and governance, the role of governments in the context of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), and climate change policies (mitigation and adaptation). Reinhard has published more than 100 articles, book chapters, books, conference papers, and Internet reports on these topics. The journals that have published his work include ‚Policy Sciences’‚ ‚Environment and Planning C’, ‚Journal of Business Ethics’, ‚Scandinavian Journal of Management’ (all listed in the SSCI)‚ and ‘Environmental Policy and Governance’. He has directed numerous research and consulting projects, which were commissioned, for example, by the European Commission, Turkey, the German Council for Sustainable Development, several ministries from Austria and other EU Member States and a variety of research funds. Between 2002 and 2008, Steurer was a senior researcher and project director at the Vienna University of Economics and Business. One of the projects he directed was the ‘European Sustainable Development Network/ESDN Office’.
